Madoo Internship Spring 2019

The Madoo Conservancy is now accepting applications for our Spring 2019 Internship program available to high school juniors and seniors.

As a testament to Robert Dash's diverse creative endeavors, interns will be able to gain knowledge and experience working within several disciplines. Horticulture/Garden Design will include assistance in all aspects of the gardens. Art Archives and Exhibitions Assistance will include organizing and cataloging the art archives, art handling, and exhibition preparation. Literary Archives will include assistance with organizing and archiving Robert Dash's writings and bibliography as well as organization and cataloging of the libraries.

Internships run for six consecutive weeks and interns should expect to work one to two afternoons per week.

Madoo Internship Program - Summer 2019

The Madoo Conservancy is now accepting applications for our 2019 Summer Internship program. Internships are available to college and graduate students. Selected candidates will be contacted for an interview. As a testament to founder Robert Dash's creative endeavors, internships are available in several disciplines. Work and responsibilities will vary according to the area of interest.

Horticulture/Garden Design will involve assistance in all aspects of the garden.

Art Archives and Exhibitions Assistance will include assisting with the organization and cataloguing of the art archives, art handling, and exhibition preparation.

Literary Archives will include organizing and archiving Robert Dash's writings and bibliography as well as the libraries.

In addition to work within areas of individual interest, interns will perform general office work, help with events, and help to welcome and direct visitors when the gardens are open to the public on Tuesdays and Saturdays 12-4 p.m.

Internships run for six consecutive weeks from late May to early September, start dates are flexible. Interns should expect to work at least three half days each week to include three Tuesdays and three Saturdays, during public visiting hours. The Madoo Conservancy office hours are 10-5 Monday through Friday, and 12-4 on Saturday. Special events may require extended hours.
