Tree Pruning Workshop

April 13 at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Pruning is both an art and science. Join us and explore how the practice of pruning and an understanding of plant physiology can lead to greater success in the garden. A presentation of concepts, timing, and tools will precede a field walk where specific situations will be discussed, and techniques demonstrated where appropriate. Led by Wayne Cahilly. Wayne Cahilly is an arborist with nearly forty years’ experience in tree and shrub care. He has worked and taught at The New York Botanical Garden since the early 1980s and has operated Cahilly’s Horticultural Services, LLC since 1985. As a consultant who specializes in woody plant health, risk assessment, and failure analysis of fallen trees, Wayne brings a unique set of skills and experience to the subject of pruning. FREE!
