Working with acrylics on canvas, students will receive step by step instruction on color mixing and technique to recreate Robert Dash’s Pink Field, White Field (1965).

WORKSHOP 3-Mixed Media Madoo Botanicals

Watercolor & Ink on Paper
Using flowers from the Madoo Conservancy gardens, this comprehensive class covers the basic techniques of botanical watercolor. Learn how to use your brushes to make smooth, underlying washes, followed by adding pen & ink for fine detail.

NATURE’S MUSIC AT MADOO

Led by Marlene Markard of Markard Music, this family program is designed to instill a lifelong love of both music and the outdoors. While exploring a different nature theme each week, children will sing, dance, move, play instruments, tell stories, create crafts and play music games. among other nature activities for kids…all on the grounds of the Madoo Conservancy! Program includes instruments and CD. (For parents and caregivers with kids ages 16 months – 3 years) Nature’s Music is part of the Musikgarten curriculum, a leading early childhood music education program.

Dates: (Thursdays in July) 7/5, 7/12, 7/19, 7/26

Time: 9:30am – 10:45am

Fee: $180 for CMEE Members; $250 for non-members.

An hour of storytelling in the Magnolia Bosque featuring storytellers from the Hampton Library at the ready to keep your child enthralled with stories from near and far. Pack a picnic lunch and hang out a while.
