Garden, a suite of six lithographs by Robert Dash and Poet James Schuyler is on exhibit this summer at Madoo. The works were produced in 1972 with images created by Dash and text came from Schuyler’s diaries. “The air is like a Cryst-O-Mint” is the caption to one image depicting an open window at Madoo. James Marcus Schuyler was an American poet whose awards include the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry for his 1980 collection The Morning of the Poem. The two met when Dash was an art critic for Arts and Art News; Schuyler was a frequent visitor to Madoo and a good friend of Dash’s. The exhibition continues through September 5.
