ARFitecture At Madoo!
August 16, 2019 at 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
The Madoo Conservancy is proud to partner with Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons to present Luke Louchheim’s ARFitecture doghouse project which will be auctioned at the Bow Wow Meow Ball on August 17 at ARF Hamptons.
The doghouses are created by leading lights of the East End design world. Fashion designer Donna Karan and her daughter Gabby Karan de Felice, interior designer Steven Gambrel, and theater and visual artist Robert Wilson have each designed a doghouse. Donna and Gabby worked with Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture DPC and Men at Work Construction, Steven Gambrel worked with New Day Woodwork and Lido Stone Works, while Robert Wilson worked with Blaze Makoid Architecture and Artisan Construction Associates. The structures are dog-sized, inhabitable shelters that each reflect the aesthetic and vision of their designer while being functional and durable for indoor or outdoor use.
The structures are currently offered for auction for the benefit of ARF Hamptons this year on the online auction site, Paddle8.com, through Friday, August 16. Tickets to the ARF benefit can be purchased at arfhamptons.org.
The exhibiton is open on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 4:00 P.M.
