MADOO: Paints
The Madoo Conservancy is pleased to announce MADOO: PAINTS our on-site painting classes beginning in April 2012., launching a new program aimed at bringing artists into the garden. Watermill-based artist Eric Dever will teach the class, and Madoo creator Robert Dash will offer critiques.Students will develop and examine painting fundamentals in the context of the Madoo Gardens with flexible and unexpected approaches. The classes are geared towards advanced students seeking new challenges and broadening their approaches to painting. “The students will not be painting Madoo per se,” explains Dever. “Rather they will be painting AT Madoo and learning to paint their experience within the garden.”
Eric Dever received his MA in Painting from New York University in 1989, he has exhibited at home and abroad, most recently Sara Nightingale Gallery, and ParisCONCRET, a center for non objective art in France.
Instructor: Eric Dever.
Schedule: Thursdays, April 12, 19, 26 May 3, 10, 17. 10:00 AM to 1:00PM.
Fee: $350.
